Caen, France, September 2, 2014 - The Canadian Show Jumping Team is currently standing sixth following the opening day of competition on September 2 at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games in Caen, France. Individually, Ian Millar of Perth, ON, currently sits in eighth position.

Caen, France, August 31, 2014 - The Canadian Show Jumping Team is set to begin competition at the 2014 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games, which is held every four years and acts as the world championships.  Canada is represented by Yann Candele, 43, of Caledon, ON, Tiffany Foster, 30, of Vancouver, BC, defending Individual Bronze Medalist Eric Lamaze, 45, of Schomberg, ON, Ian Millar, 67, of Perth, ON, and alternate Chris Sorensen, 32, of Caledon, ON.

 
Canadian Reiner Finishes Top 10 in Finals at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games 2014

Normandy, FRA, August 31, 2014 - Canadian reiner, Cody Sapergia of Lermoos, AUT and Nu Chexomatic (Nu Chex To Cash X Tejons Peppy Doc) earn their highest score at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games 2014 with 223.5, which kept them in the medals for the majority of the Finals.

Normandy, FRA, August 29, 2014 - One hundred and sixty-five horse-and-rider combinations, representing 42 nations, set off on the five-loop, 160 km endurance race across the coast of Sartilly, FRA on August 28. With unfavourable weather conditions the trails turned to mud trenches sinking a foot deep causing issues on course. Canadians took on the race with a strategic plan and several tactics to approach the race technically.

Canadian Reiner Cody Sapergia Secures Spot in Individual Reining Final at the 2014 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games

Normandy FRA, August 28, 2014 -- Cody Sapergia and Nu Chexomatic (Nu Chex to Cash x Tejons Peppy Doc) a seven year-old Quarter horse stallion owned by Tina Künstner-Mantl and Jac Point Quarters, had a second chance to earn their ticket to the Final at the second individual qualifying competition along with 22 other reining horse-rider combinations, and they made the most of it taking first place early in the competition setting the bar with a score of 219.0.

 
Lauren Barwick Scores Canada's First Medal at the 2014 Games

Normandy, FRA, August, 28, 2014 -- Canada's Lauren Barwick finished on the podium today in the bronze medal position and earned Canada's first medal of the Games following her Individual Championship Test during the fourth day of para-dressage competition on Thursday, August 28, at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games 2014 in Normandy, FRA.
