ARTICLE A204 INDIVIDUAL PLATINUM SPORT LICENCES
- Participate as a rider, driver, vaulter, owner or lessee at all EC and FEI sanctioned competitions
- Compete at FEI competitions inside and outside of Canada with permission of EC subject to discipline/breed sport rules
- Receive an amateur card, if qualified, upon payment of the current fee. (See Article A203.2)
- Receive/be eligible for EC provincial and national awards
- Apply to be an official EC judge, steward, course designer, technical delegate or EC certified coach or instructor.

ARTICLE A205 INDIVIDUAL GOLD SPORT LICENCES
- Participate as a rider, driver, vaulter, owner or lessee at all EC sanctioned competitions.
- Receive EC provincial and national awards
- Receive an amateur card, if qualified, upon payment of the current fee
- Apply to be an official EC judge, steward, course designer, technical delegate or EC certified coach or instructor
- Apply the cost of a Gold Sport Licence to the purchase of an Platinum Sport Licence.

ARTICLE A206 INDIVIDUAL SILVER SPORT LICENCES
- Participate as a rider, driver, vaulter, owner or lessee at all Silver and Bronze competitions as well as within their respective breed classes of their own EC affiliated breed organizations.
- Receive an EC Amateur Card, if qualified, upon payment of the current fee.
- Receive annual EC provincial awards in provinces where there is an awards program.
- Upgrade to a Gold Sport Licence at a Gold Competition; and
- Apply the cost of a Silver Sport Licence to the purchase of a Gold Sport Licences.

Bronze

ARTICLE A207 INDIVIDUAL BRONZE SPORT LICENCES
- Participate as a rider, driver, vaulter, owner or lessee at all Bronze competitions
- Receive an EC Amateur Card, if qualified, upon payment of the required fee.
- Receive discipline/breed sport, regional or zone awards where there is an awards program.
- Upgrade to a Silver or Gold Sport Licence at a Silver or Gold Competition; and
- Apply the cost of a Bronze Sport Licence to the purchase of a Silver or Gold Sport Licences.

Corporate

ARTICLE A210 CORPORATE/SYNDICATE SPORT LICENCES
- Corporate/Syndicate Sport Licences can be purchased by corporations of business enterprises, including syndicates, which own a horse for competition purposes
- One representative from the Corporate/Syndicate must hold a current EC Gold or Platinum Sport Licence.
- Sport Licence privileges extend only to the competitive requirements of the corporate/syndicate horses and do not extend to other horses or other EC activities unrelated to the syndicate/corporation-owned horses.
- All persons listed as owners are or a corporation/syndicate is responsible for maintaining their Sport Licence in good standing.
- All riders/drivers/vaulters of corporate/syndicate-owned horses must hold a current individual EC Gold or Platinum Sport Licence.

ARTICLE A208 TEMPORARY SPORT LICENCE
- Exhibitors, owners or lessees, and individuals accepting legal responsibility for an entry who do not hold a valid Sport Licence are permitted to participate with the purchase of a Temporary Sport Licence according to the fee listed in the current EC fee schedule.
- The fee will be paid to the competition secretary.
- A Temporary Sport Licence allows the person the privilege of competing at the competition where the Sport Licence was purchased. However, such license does not include any other EC membership benefits. A Temporary Sport Licence holder is not entitled to purchase a passport nor accumulate points.
- An eligible Temporary Sport Licence holder may compete in amateur classes provided an Amateur Affidavit has been completed and is on file with the competition Secretary.
- Results achieved while competing with a Temporary Sport Licence may not be used to qualify for year-end awards, championship competitions, finals or subsequent competitions requiring qualification.
- Owners who are Temporary Sport Licence holders must complete the temporary horse registration form at every competition where passports are required.
- There is no Platinum level Temporary Sport Licence available.
- To purchase a Temporary Sport Licence, an individual must be a member of Equine Canada.
ARTICLE A211 SINGLE EVENT SPORT LICENCE UPGRADE
- Exhibitors, owners or lessees, and individuals accepting legal responsibility for an entry, and having a valid Sport Licence, but not at the level required, are permitted to participate in EC Silver and Gold competitions upon purchase of a Single Event Sport License Upgrade according to the fee listed in the current EC fee schedule.
- The fee will be paid to the competition Secretary.
- A Single Event Sport Licence Upgrade allows the person the privilege of competing only at the event where and when purchased.
- Horses must comply with the passport requirements applicable to the level of competition.
- There is no Single Event Upgrade to Platinum.
ARTICLE A212 CHANGING SPORT LICENCE LEVELS
- An EC Sport Licence holder may purchase a higher level Sport Licence at any time during the same calendar year by application to EC or a PSO.
- A credit for full amount paid for an existing Sport Licence may be applied to the cost of the new Sport Licence at the time of the new purchase.
- Annual Sport Licence fees are not prorated.
