September 1, 2010 — With the introduction of a $5 membership fee this
year, Equine Canada has launched a new series of recreational programs.
Working with Horse Council British Columbia (HCBC), the first new
program was to invite British Columbia recreational groups to apply for
grants for projects that would benefit recreational and trail riders in
the province. The response was outstanding and applications were
received for over $100,000 in projects.

June 21, 2010 — The 2011 Dressage Canada Board Election gets underway
with the call for nominations, which starts on July 2nd and continues
until July 23rd, 2010.

June 18, 2010 - As per the Dressage Canada Governance Manual, the
Dressage Canada Board
is to report to its affiliate membership twice a year. Please accept
this as our mid-year report for 2010, and we will be submitting an
annual report, including financial statements, at the end of our year.

June 1, 2010 — Equine Canada is pleased to announce that staff support
for competition organizers and officials has been expanded to include
weekends throughout the competition season. Melanie Blanchard has joined
the Equine Canada team as the competitions assistant and the team will
receive additional support starting in June from a student intern.
Blanchard is bilingual and had previously worked for Equine Canada in
2009 as a student intern in the competitions department.

 May 5, 2010 — Equine Canada is pleased to announce that the Code of
Practice for Horses will now be updated. This follows the Government of
Canada’s announcement, made at the University of Guelph on April 30,
2010, of its investment in the further development of best-practices
for livestock handling.

May 4, 2010 — Equine Canada is pleased to announce the availability of
Dressage, Jumping, Para-Dressage and Endurance ticket packages for the
2010 World Equestrian Games (WEG).
