March 4, 2010 — Dressage Canada has announced the first five inductees
to its new Hall of Fame. The inaugural Hall of Fame Gala celebrating
these dressage icons is set for Sunday, April 25th, 2010, at Toronto’s
Eglinton Grand Theatre. Net proceeds from the gala will go to Canadian
dressage athletes in their pursuit of excellence at the 2010 World
Equestrian Games (WEG).

March 4, 2010 — The 2010 Dressage Canada Board met face-to-face for the
first time this year at the Equine Canada Convention, held early
February, in Montreal, QC. The group welcomed new members Michaela
Eisengruber, Courtenay Fraser, and Renee Young, as well as two new
athlete representatives — long-time competitors Nancy MacLachlan and
Gina Smith. Also new this year is the addition of three committee
representatives on the board.

March 4, 2010 — The locations and dates of the next two Equine Canada
Export Preparedness Seminars have been established for the month of
March, following the first in the series that was held in Montreal, QC,
in February during Equine Canada’s Annual Convention. Additional
seminars will be held across Canada throughout the year.

comprise the Canadian Show Jumping Team for the $75,000 FEI Nations’
Cup, Presented by CN, held Friday evening, March 5, during the CSIO4*
Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, FL.

March 3, 2010 — The Equine Canada Medication Control Committee (EMCC)
has announced new measures to deter abuse and overuse of drugs and
medication in horses, to provide fairness to all participants, to
protect the safety of competitors, to maintain the health and welfare
of the horse and promote fair competitions.

March 2, 2010 — Equine Canada has announced an amendment to Section G:
Hunter, Jumper, Equitation and Hack rules, Article G108.2 Amateur
Status, to include a pilot project where an Equine Canada amateur may
hold an EC Instructor Beginner Certificate and teach within the context
of the Instructor Beginner Certificate.

have nominated Gwynne Rooke, of Stouffville, ON, as the chef d’équipe
for Canada’s dressage team heading to the 2010 Alltech FEI World
Equestrian Games (WEG) at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY. The
games run from September 25–October 10, 2010.
