Dressage Canada Board (DCB)

The Dressage Canada Board (DCB) is defined as the Discipline Committee for Dressage, charged with governance, support, and management of all discipline related activities for the Canadian dressage community. As such, the DCB has some broad responsibilities that encompass different tasks.

Dressage Canada shall be managed by a Board consisting of eleven (11), which shall consist of the following:

• Two (2) Athlete Representatives elected by DC’s Athlete’s Council for a term of (2) two years. DC’s Athletes’ Council will also identify (1) one Alternate Athlete Representative who will be called on to participate in the event the Athlete Representative is not available. 
• The Chair or designate of the High Performance Committee
• The Chair or designate of the Domestic Development Committee
• One member from another Dressage Canada Committee
• The remaining Six (6) Board members to be elected by the membership of Dressage Canada as Directors-at-Large.

The immediate past Chair will be an honorary (non-voting) member of DCB who may be consulted as required.

All DCB members must be current affiliate members in good standing with Dressage Canada and current Senior Sport License holders with Equine Canada.

• 1st Friday of July - Call for Nominations
• 4th Friday of July - Close of Nominations
• 3rd Friday of August - Election Packages Mail-out of biographies and ballot packages to all Dressage Canada members listed as of the call for nominations date
• 4th Friday of October - Return of Ballots
• During Royal Winter Fair - Announcement of Election Results
• January 1st - New DCB Takes Office
